I am a condom aficionado, or at least I plan to be. I am on a quest to find the perfect (for me) condom. My reasons for this are simple, condoms are awesome. They help stop the transmission of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and help prevent unwanted pregnancy. I would like to thank Pasante for sending me some of their condoms to try, for free, in exchange for an honest review. I’ve already tried their Regular condoms and now I get to review the Pasante Passion Condoms. My job is hard but someone has got to do it.
The Pasante Passion Condoms are a latex condom that are coated in a small amount of non-spermicidal lubricant. They are transparent, teat ended and have the added bonus of texture, in the form of small ribs.
Average Thickness: 70 Microns
Amount in a packet: 12 although I received a 3 pack I can’t currently find them for sale on the Pasante website.
The Pasante Passion Condoms in Use
I should tell you my personal demands for a condom first of all. The most important things I need is for a condom to feel good in use. I want a condom to be as unobtrusive as possible. I don’t mind colours, flavours and fun but I need to feel that the condom is not coming between us. Sensations either need to be enhanced or feel as close to natural as possible.
I want there to be minimal smell unless it is a specific flavour and I want no taste unless it’s a specific feature to the condom. I also want it to do its job, stay in place and protect. Mr Rose specifically likes them to feel like they’re snug and secure but not dulling sensation. We are a demanding pair.
We received the Pasante Passion condoms 3 pack to try. They came in a small, discreet blue box, with a little leaflet telling you more about them. The square foil packets open easily and there was no fear of accidentally ripping the condom on removal.
As I applied the Pasante Passion Condom to Mr Rose’s erect penis I found it exciting to feel the obvious ribs in the latex. They’re about a mm apart and run from just under the head of the penis most of the way down the shaft. The condom itself felt reassuringly snug but not too difficult to put on and unrolls easily.
Although I could feel the obvious ridges in the latex with my fingers, I honestly didn’t think my vagina would be sensitive to them and was unsure I would feel them at all. To my surprise they felt really good in use. I wouldn’t say there was a dramatic difference to using a regular condom but there is a subtle difference in the sensation.
For Mr Rose there was no difference at all, he couldn’t feel the ribs during use.
The Pasante Passion Condoms are a brilliant condom. They did cause a minimal loss of sensation to Mr Rose but did have the snug reassuring fit. They gave me added sensation which really felt good. I don’t think these are quite our perfect match, as I think we will always want a thinner condom, but we wouldn’t turn them down either.
They had a slight latex smell to them and no real taste. I think these are an all round decent condom with an added bonus for the partner being penetrated.
