Pjur Original Lubricant

A few months ago I was given some of the Pjur personal lubricants to try out.  The Pjur Original Lubricant has been supplied by Latex, Leather and Lace in exchange for an honest review.  Incase you haven’t been reading my blog/reviews (tut tut) I love this company. You can read all about the time i visited them here.

What is Pjur Original Lubricant?

When shopping for personal lubricants I tend to choose a water based one.  This is because I can use them without thinking about compatibility, is it suitable for what I’m planning in my kinky endeavours tonight? There are some positives to using a silicone based lubricant though, which is what the Pjur Original Lubricant is.

Pros of the Pjur Original Lubricant are that it feels silky smooth and slippy.  During use we didn’t need to reapply as it is very long lasting. There is little to no smell or taste.

We absolutely love using it for massage. In fact I prefer it to massage oils as it feels so smooth and reduces friction without it feeling messy or sticky.

I also use it when I’m wearing a skirt or dress to stop my chunky thighs rubbing together. If you just put a little on your inner thighs it makes chafing almost impossible. That fat girl in me swoons at the thought of summer dresses and no tights.

As it is silicone based it is excellent for use in the bath and shower.  If you’re going to take your toys (non silicone ones) or your partner into the bathroom for some steamy thrills this is the perfect accompaniment. The Pjur Original Lubricant won’t wash away with just water.

I’ve found there are very little cons of using the Pjur Original Lubricant.  It is a little too runny.  Within a few seconds it can be running down your arm.  It can be very messy.  Also because it is a screw top bottle it can be difficult to open and close once you’ve got it on your hands.

You also can’t use it with silicone toys as it can degrade them.

I will still always prefer water based lubricants because they’re so versatile but there is definitely a need for silicone lubricants in your bedside drawer. This lubricant is definitely joining the growing collection of lubricants I like using.  For massage, masturbation and stopping thunderous thighs from getting sore this is perfect.

If you would like to add the Pjur Original Lubricant to your collection you can find it here.
